Food: Whether you're in Little Italy or Chinatown or at fancy restaurant in SOHO, there is no shortage of delicious cuisine in New York City. There are even fun places like MacBar, which is a gourmet, classy twist on macaroni & cheese.

The Best Bars In The World - Greenwood Hotel, Sydney, Australia - Review

Greenwood, Teenwood... Call it what you want, but this venue still remains one of the most popular North Sydney destinations on a Thursday night. With its crowds of North Shore teenagers, no cover charge and its up-to-date, danceable music, Greenwood is a great experience until you run out of money, or until you've been there so many times you know the bouncers.

If you haven't been to here before, here's a little heads up: it is very likely that you will encounter plenty of underage teenagers that are trying to party with the legal teenagers. However, if you can overlook this then you should have a great experience.

The best place to start the night is outside the back of the building, where there are benches for groups of people to sit and have a conversation without the music getting in the way. The atmosphere out here is busy yet relaxed, with just enough space to walk around without feeling completely squashed. There's enough seating for big groups, but keep in mind that if you only have 3 or 4 people with you, you may have to awkwardly share tables.

From then on, there are two different areas catering for both Hip Hop/RnB and House music. The courtyard - my personal favourite - plays remixes of mainstream songs alongside techno/trance music, and always has a massive crowd dancing the night away. This dancefloor is packed with energy...just be careful of your feet, because mine have been stood on more than once by a girl in high heels. Meanwhile, over in the chapel hip hop and RnB is blasted out to a dancefloor that may or may not be busy. Depending on what time you arrive in this area, it can be full of people or it can house a few dancing in groups. Watch if there's only a few groups dancing, but dance if there's a lot of people.

As for the feel of this venue, well, I must say there's something strangely fun about dancing in a courtyard or a chapel. The Greenwood is not covered with decor; rather, it lets the simplicity of its layout and its popularity to become the decoration. The people that turn up are a mix from different places, however chances are that if you are there on a Thursday night, you will probably bump into someone that you know.

The only problem with this place is that the first few times are great, but if you don't give it a month's break before you go back, you will probably get sick of it. While Greenwood is exciting at first, it quickly becomes a place that you say "Seriously, again?" to. Use it as a first-time nightclub experience for a friend who's just turned 18, or for an occasional night out, but don't get caught in going there every week or you will soon find you never want to go back.

As for the underage teens that seem to be so common at this venue... they'll provide you with a few funny stories to tell your friends over the next week. Don't let them spoil your night, and it will most likely be a great one at this bar.

The Best Bars In The World - Kuleto's, Sydney, Australia - Review

As a boy, it is a little odd me doing a review on a cocktail bar, however, last Saturday I think I went to the best cocktail bar on earth, and as such felt I should do a review about it.

The venue I am referring to is Kuleto's on King Street in Newtown. Many reading this most likely have walked past this relatively innocuous venue on your way to one of the many bars and nightclubs in the area, not even considering having a look inside.

So to all those that have walked past without giving this place a 2nd look, I can only say to you, you are missing out!

So what I think separates this bar from the crowd is the amazing cocktails (and they are amazing) combined with the quintessentially Newtown feel to the place, which is relaxed, laid back and informal. This atmosphere was simply unquestionable given that I was wearing thongs and nobody batted and eyelid.

However for the girls out there looking for sophistication in a bar, do not think that Kuleto's is not the place for you. If you feel class and sophistication is spawned from the threads you are wearing, let it be known you are not the only punter in this bar who feels that way as alongside the thong wearing clientele are the "dressed to impress crowd" drinking side by side.

It's an amazing atmosphere from a cocktail bar that is famous for its 7 to 8 happy hour with 2 for 1 cocktails Fridays and Saturdays. But let me reiterate, these aren't cocktails mixed by an 18 year old university student studying arts and wondering why they are working in a cocktail bar instead of running the country. The bar staff here know what they are doing and make some of the best looking (and tasting) cocktails you are likely to see this side of the city.

So, if you are strolling down Newtown's main road, I strongly suggest you look past the kitsch looking halogen light buzzing away and take a look inside, have a drink and embrace the most unique bar in Sydney.

Luggage Considerations for Travel, Tips and Recommendations

The first consideration when thinking about luggage is where are you going and how often you travel. If you travel a lot, buying a cheap bag or luggage is not the way to go. Make sure it is soft material, that is water proof, good body construction, large 2.5 inch wheels and I suggest a leather handle, not a telescopic handle. The reason is a telescopic handle can bend, and if it bends and or breaks, well you will be carry your bag through LAX. Go for a detachable leather handle that you can pack and when you arrive to your destination, simply pull it out and go.

Another consideration for luggage many people do not think about is the size and weight. Your carry on cannot be more than 50 pounds on most airlines and should be soft not hard shell. I you are going to travel to an exotic island, on smaller planes, weight restrictions will probably be more strict. Thus find out what they are before you travel. And if you have to check in your carry on, does it have your video camera and other valuables. As I said before, make sure you plan your trip, do not allow your trip to make your plans. Consider where you are going, what planes you will be taking and you will have a happy trip. Forget about planning and you will be spending a lot more money on buying new things because you forgot about your luggage.
